'World Cup debts will be settled end of March'

Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, said in Parliament that the money owed by Sri Lanka from the 2011 Cricket World Cup Championship, would be settled by the end of this month.

He made this observation yesterday, in response to a question raised by UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekara for oral answers. Minister Aluthgamage also stated that the Auditor's report on the World Cup expenses of Sri Lanka Cricket, has already been forwarded to the ICC. Minister Aluthgamage also stated that measures have been taken to host many international cricket matches at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium this year and also the years to come.

The minister further said that there was no problem in Sri Lanka Cricket at presen.
