Cambrians force a draw against Trinity

Trinity College, Kandy has to be satisfied with a first innings win
over Prince of Wales College in their inter-school under 19 cricket
match worked off at Moratuwa.
Trinitians who restricted Cambrians for a paltry 117 runs in their
first essay scored 209 runs with Niroshan Dickwella scoring a quick 91
runs with 11 hits to the ropes and four over and faced 58 balls and
occupied the crease for 81 minutes.
Akila Jayasundera too had a good knock of 48 runs and Alwin Fernando
contributed 37 runs.
In their second essay Cambrians bounced back and were all out for 231
runs with Shanuka Dulaj 72 runs with nine fours and two sixes while
skipper Tarindu Dilshan made 64 runs with six boundaries and two sixes.
So far Shanuka Dulaj has scored 860 runs and taken 71 wickets while
Tarindu Dilshan has collected 855 runs. Ashen Mendis contributed 35 runs
and Didulana Medis was unbeaten on 25. Akila Jayasundera claimed 4 for
30 for the visitors. Set to make 140 runs for an outright win and at the
close Trinitians were 53 for 3.
