Sebs’ Amila takes wickets tally to 99

Sri Lanka Schools under 19 cricketer and skipper of St. Sebastians College, Moratuwa Amila Aponso brought his tally to 99 wickets for the current season when he had a match bag of 7 for 107 against S. Thomas’ College in their cricket match played at Mount Lavinia.

In reply to Thomians total of 192 Sebs resumed the day two at 16 for no loss and declared at 201 for 7 with Anushka Perera stroking a fluent 51 runs ably supported by Luke Jayadeva who contributed 46 runs.

S. Thomas’ - 192 (Rishen Mathangaweera 35, Thilaksha Sumanasiri 31, Dilum Fernando 25 n/o, Amila Aponso 4/59, Anuk Fernando 4/57 and 104/3 (Asiri Wickramanayake 32, Sadun Peiris 23 n/o, Amila Aponso 3/48).
