Commercial Bank supports construction sector with Senok

Offers special leasing packages for KOBELCO Excavators, Komac Breakers:

Buyers of globally-reputed Kobelco Excavators and Komac Breakers can now enjoy substantial benefits including discounts on prices, competitive lease rentals and special insurance packages if they purchase them on lease from the Commercial Bank.

This offer, valid from February 2012 onwards, follows a recent agreement between Commercial Bank, the bank internationally rated as Sri Lanka’s best and Senok Trade Combine (Pvt) Ltd., a leading distributor of construction machinery.

According to the agreement, Senok will offer special discounts on machinery and spare parts and offer services at a concessionary price for every Kobelco Excavator and Komac Breaker leased via Commercial Bank.

Supplementing these benefits, Commercial Bank will offer competitive rentals, special schemes for selected Kobelco Excavators and arrange for special insurance schemes through Commercial Insurance Brokers, an associate of the Bank. The islandwide branch network of the Bank will offer these services, thereby enhancing convenience to buyers, the Bank said.

“This offer responds to the increasing demand for construction equipment to support and sustain Sri Lanka’s infrastructure boom,” Nugent Kapuwatte, Head of Leasing and Personal Loans at Commercial Bank said. “Commercial Bank has emerged as a preferred provider of leasing facilities, in part due to the ties the Bank has cultivated with distributors of vehicles and machinery.”

The special offer for Kobelco Excavators follows the recent opening of a branch of Senok Trade in Vavuniya, an area in which the company expects strong demand for the products it distributes.

Commercial Bank is one of the leading leasing service providers in the country and is a member of the Leasing Association of Sri Lanka. It provides leasing facilities for a range of assets of diverse values including machinery.

Established in 1969, Commercial Bank is the largest private bank in Sri Lanka, and the only Sri Lankan Bank listed in the world’s Top 1,000 Banks. It operates a network of 213 service points in Sri Lanka and the country’s single largest network of 500 ATMs.

The Bank has been adjudged ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 13 consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine and has won multiple awards as the country’s best bank from ‘The Banker,’ ‘FinanceAsia,’ ‘Euromoney’ and ‘Trade Finance’ magazines.
