Bold reply by Ananda

Ananda made a bold reply, by scoring 150 for 4 wickets in reply to St.Joseph's first innings total of 257 for 9 declared in their inter schools under 19 cricket match which began at Darley Road yesterday.

Anandians were boosted by a fine knock of 80 by last year skipper Geshan Wimaladharma with 15 fours and one six. Earlier the Josephians , taking first lease of the wicket ,scored 257 for 9 helped by two good innings by Sachin Hewawasam(54) and Supashala Jayatillake(56). Both of them had nine boundaries each.Paceman Venuka Ashan was the most imprssive of the Ananda bowlers with 3 wickets for 55 runs.
