Gurukul International School win one and lose four

A Junior cricket team from Shree Swarminarayan Gurukul International School, Bangalore, India toured Sri Lanka on an invitation of Old Moratu Vidyalians Spots Club and participated in a few cricket matches at Moratuwa and Panadura.

All matches were confined to Twenty/20 and five matches were played, three with Moratu Vidyalaya and one each with Royal College, Panadura and Sri Sumangala College, Panadura. They won one game against Moratu Vidyalaya and lost the other matches.

The Manager of the Gurukul team Sathsanji Swamiji told the Daily News Sports that this is the first instance that they came out from their country to play cricket and winning or losing is immaterial and they looked forward for participation. Further he added that this is a fine exposure to all the cricketers who took part and they will be looking forward to make another tour at their earliest.
