Woman dies, son injured in Panadura accident

A 32-year-old woman died and her seven-year-old son was critically injured when they were knocked down by a cab on the pedestrian crossing on Galle Road opposite the public bus halt near the Panadura Police Station on Saturday morning.

Lalitha Hemamala died at hospital while her son Sameera is receving treatment at hospital.

A police driver nabbed the driver.

The suspect driver was remanded by the Panadura magistrate.
