Peterites in command

St. Peter’s College were in a commanding position at the end of the first day in their inter-schools under-19 match against S.Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia at Mount Lavinia yesterday. Thomians were bundled out for 180 runs in their first innings. Ramitha Liyanaarachchi was the most successful with the ball (4 for 41). Peterites were 241 for 6 at close of play with the help of a fine knock of 71 runs by Sachin Fernando. Madushan Ravichandrakumar took 4 for 57. Rishane Mathangaweera bagged 2 for 47 , taking his 50th wicket in his under 19 cricket career.
