Sisters nabbed for hooch sale

Two sisters selling illicit liquor were nabbed by the Police in a house at Kirimetiyagara, Kadawatha on Wednesday.

Police acting on a tip-off, raided a house and nabbed the two women. The elder sister had 45 bottles of illicit liquor and the other had 10 bottles.

The women produced by Kadawatha Magistrate Dharshika Wimalasiri were fined Rs 125,000 and Rs 80,000. The raid was conducted by Kadawatha Police
