People embody diverse personalities. They have different tastes and
characteristics. What may go down well with one individual may not bring
joy to another. That is why it is considered that people’s personalities
are like their thumb print: each is poles apart from the other.
Conflict occurs because of these differences in personalities.
Relationships demise and bitter feelings erupt to evoke hatred or
dislike towards one who had been a close associate for some years. If
nothing is done about this and the distasteful feeling prevails,
incidents could lead to a split in the relationship and the two parting
their ways seeking other companions.
This nature is common and a dangerous factor when you look at today’s
society.
Many family break-ups are due to such instances when the other party
fails to understand, adjust or make a sacrifice on behalf of the other.
‘Yuga Diviya’ is a closer look at such common instances which have
made way to misconceptions. Author Ernest Waduge relates that the
likings of men and women are different and both parties need to dedicate
time and energy to come to term’s with the other’s expectations to lead
a successful family life.
It is not a matter of reproduction or living under the same roof
alone but a matter which should be handled thoughtfully.
The start off might be tough as you may find some of your partner’s
habits annoying but patience and strategy will get you to a stable
position and make your family life a joyful union.
The book is not entirely written in a didactic tone. It is more like
listening to an old friend relating tales and giving sound advice over
afternoon tea. You find yourself immersed in the book and the narrator’s
friendly tone. With many years of experience in writing novels and
handling matters of the heart, Waduge had penned down some true
incidents of individuals who had come to him seeking his help. Such
characters had made him realize that though some couples are well suited
to each other and can lead happy family lives, most of them do not know
how to handle the problems which come with family life.
The book is addresses the youth, especially those who are on the
brink of marriage.
