Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa opened the first SME bank branch centre of the People’s Bank on Sunday parallel to the Deyata Kirula exhibition in Anuradhapura. Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Agrarian Services and Wildlife Minister S. M. Chandrasena, Shehan Semasinghe MP, and People’s Bank chairman W. Karunajeewa also participated. The SME centre will provide various facilities for entrepreneurs. It will extend financial facilities up to Rs. 200 million and will provide other services, such as, project planning and consultancy.
