Mother of former SL soccer captain passes away

The death occurred of Prescillia Grace de Silva, mother of Anura de Silva, former St. Benedict's College and Sri Lanka soccer captain and now Chief Executive Officer, Football Federation of Sri Lanka.

Anura captained the national soccer team in 1990 and was a centre in the mould of another former Sri Lankan captain Mahinda Aluvihare. Anura captained St. Benedict's College in 1990/91.

Anura is now vice President of the Old Bens Sports Club. Funeral will take at 4 pm today at Roman Catholics Section at Kanatte, Borella
