Award winning printing company, Top Printers will expand to
North-East this year while upgrading the existing company in Colombo
with an investment of Rs 25 million. Top Printers Managing Director
Sameer Yoonus said.
Referring to his plans for this year he said, ‘printing is a fast
growing and modifying industry and one has to watch carefully ,be
creative and calculative to move forward in this field.’ With
development projects in the North and East there are emerging
opportunities and he hoped to establish business shortly. His new
strategy is to introduce new technology, go for research and
development, and train and educate the workforce to be competitive in
today’s world. ‘As Sri Lankan market is small and the crisis situation
in the world I always look at three things before investing on new
technology. Whether, I really need it, is it within my budget and
whether any alternative technology is available before dumping huge
amount on machinery blindly.’
‘However, the present environment in the country is good for
business. I have employed over 100 people directly and indirectly at
present and this will be further increased with new recruitment for the
North and East. We have to work hard and put our skills to the maximum
limit to make it bright and better’, he said. |
