Peterites draw with Maris Stella

St Peter’s College forced a draw with Maris Stella College in their inter-schools cricket match yesterday.

Maris Stella scored 279 runs in the first innings with the help of captain Anjelo Jayasinghe who scored 68 runs and P. Jayamanne’s 58.

In reply, St.Peter’s were all out for 113 in their first innings. With 166 runs behind the Maris Stella total, Peterites were forced to follow on and were 233 for nine in their second innings. Shehan Fernando scored 75 runs. Sathira Dillepa captured 5 for 52.
