First Airtel Millionaire from Batticaloa
Amidst a ceremony held for retailers by Bharti Airtel Lanka for its
retailers, a customer hailing from Batticaloa was declared the first
winner of the Airtel Millionaire Promotion.

As part of the promotion, prepaid and postpaid Airtel mobile
customers, upon topping up their account or paying a bill worth Rs. 100
or more were awarded a chance to participate in the millionaire lucky
draw. Four more draws will also be held fortnightly, rewarding customers
with Rs. one million each.
K. Sivalingam from the village of Marapalem in the Senkaladi area of
Batticaloa, a village that is deprived of even basic infrastructure
facilities was picked as the first of the five winners of this promotion
and had his prize handed over to him at the Batticaloa Airtel Store. The
ceremony was held in the presence of M. Selvarasa, the manager of the
store and other government officials.
