Kusal saves Cambrians

Former Sri Lanka Schools under 15 skipper and opener Kusal Mendis is
in fine form and scored a magnificent 112 runs to save Prince of Wales’
College from a certain defeat at the hands of St Anthony’s College,
Kandy with twenty two fours, occupying the crease for 168 minutes and
facing 130 balls enabled Cambrians to force a draw and Athonians had to
be satisfied with a first innings win by 126 runs in their inter-school
under 19 cricket match concluded at Moratuwa.
St Anthony’s 276 for 9 decl and 56 for 3 (Saranga Rajaguru 20,
Shanuka Dulaj 2 for 26).
Prince of Wales (86 for 5 overnight) all out 150 (Kusal Mendis 79,
Didulana Nonis 15, Hashan Fernando 25, U K B Ranaraja 5 for 22, Nimesh
Munasinghe 3 for 41) and 210 (Kusal Mendis 112, Suchira Fernando 28,
Shanuka Dulaj 27, Crishen Aponso 20, Saranga Rajaguru 6 for 59, Romesh
Meckwin 2 for 15).
