SLFP condoles on the passing away of a stalwart

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party yesterday expressed its condolences on the passing away of senior SLFPer and former MP Ratna Deshapriya Senanayake. He served as Deputy Minister of Information and Supplies under Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike. A release issued by the Party states that the late Ratna Deshapriya Senanayake was a leader who displayed fighting qualities having contested as the SLFP nominee against then Prime Minister Dudley Senanayake in all elections since 1960 giving the latter a good fight.
