Navy finds hidden weapons

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command recovered a
stock of LTTE weapons hidden in Devapura and Chilawatte areas on January
16 and 17.

SLNS Dakshina naval troops began investigations following information
they received. They also found a number of identity cards of LTTE
members.
According to Sri Lanka Navy sources, one T 56 weapon, one T 81
weapon, two T 56 magazines, one T 56 magazine, eight 81mm motor bombs,
two 60 mm motor bombs and two hand grenades were also found. |
