Sri Lanka – Paradise Exorcised
“Effectively, the Earth’s regenerative capacity can no longer keep up
with demand – people are turning resources into waste faster than Nature
can turn waste back into resources. Humanity is no longer living off
Nature’s interest but drawing down its capital.” - Worldwide Fund for
Nature Living Planet Report.
Sri Lanka’s first guidebook to responsible tourism will be launched
on January 19 at the Galle Literary Festival at the Galle Heritage Villa
by Jetwing. Titled Paradise Exorcised, compiled and written by the
renowned Juliet Coombe, the book seeks to educate the traveller on the
implications and effects caused by global tourism. |
