Ishan steals the limelight

Ishan Kanishka of St. Thomas College, Matara scored 121 with 10 fours and one six off 134 balls to steal the honours in their schools under 19 cricket tournament match against Vidyartha College, Kandy which ended in a first innings lead for the Kandy school at Police grounds, Kandy yesterday.

Vidyartha College 261 all out in 53.1 overs (Ruwan Bandara 60, Niluksha Galapitiyage 53, Keshan Gamage 64, Tilina Rupasena 27, Kasun Nawaratne 34, Ishan Kanishka 2 for 48, S. Dasun 2 for 11, Hashan Dinura 3 for 70, Talaksha Dilan 2 for 80) and 221 all out in 59.2 overs (Ruwan Bandara 60, Niluksha Galapitiyage 23, Ravindu Dissanayake 28, Kasun Nawaratne 35, Keshan Gamage 75, Nipuna Ranaweera 18, Ashan Dinura 4 for 77, Ishan Kanishka 3 for 78, Prashan Manohara 2 for 5).
