More jobs for Lankans in Qatar

The government of Qatar expressed its willingness to allocate funds to provide special training to Sri Lankans seeking employment in Qatar.

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani who was on a visit here said that the number of Sri Lankans seeking employment in Qatar would be increased.

The Emir of Qatar who was on a two day official visit to Sri Lanka said that his country will create more job opportunities for migrant workers particularly Sri Lankan as Qatar is to host FIFA 2020. The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) will engage in bilateral discussions with the Qatari government regarding the ongoing training activities and will ensure that Sri Lankan employees are protected through the training process.
