Carey College Colombo 8 was placed first in the Primary Group Dance (boys) at the All Island Dancing and Drama Competition 2011. They performed the dance 'Polpithi Haraka'. The students were trained by the school dancing teachers, Waruni Liyanage, Nuwan Ranjith Priyanga and Siril Devaratne. The lyrics and the music direction was done by M.R. Chulasinghe and Piyum Chulasinghe.
