Navy women in easy 5-1 win

Navy Women Stickers continued their fine form with the stick when they trounced Sri Lanka Air Force by 5 goals to one in their Colombo Hockey Association Women’s invitation Hockey tournament match played at Malay grounds, Colombo, at half time Navy women led 2-0.

The Navy women are unbeaten in this tournament so far and they have one more match to be played against Combined Ladies and if they win this match they could be assured of the championship title.

Goal scorers for the Navy Ladies were left extreme Maneesha Dissanayake (1), centre forward Chathurika Wijesuriya (1), right extreme Buddhika Gunaratne (1) left inside Madhushani Jayanetti (1) and full back Pradeepa Nilmini (1) who scored off a penalty stroke. For Air Force Ladies centre forward C. N. Chathurika scored the solitary goal.
