First ticket purchased by Malaysian High Commissioner

‘Sparkle & Glitter’ raffle draw :

The first raffle ticket in the “Sparkle & Glitter” raffle organized by the Sri Lanka-Malaysia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the National Gem and Jewellery Authority in Sri Lanka was purchased by High Commissioner for Malaysia in Sri Lanka Azmi Zainuddin last week.

“Sparkle and Glitter” is a display and sale featuring some of Sri Lanka’s best gems and jewellery, which will be held February 9 to 11, at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

The display will culminate in a raffle, in which the winner will receive an approx. eight carat blue Sapphire, valued at over US $ 15,000.

The winning ticket is expected to be drawn by the First Lady, Shiranthi Rajapaksa during a gala dinner on February 12.
