Defence Secy to deliver ANCL, SLFI lecture

A lecture on 'Future Challenges of National Security in Sri Lanka' jointly organized by Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI) and Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (ANCL) will be delivered by Defence and Urban Development Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the Foundation Institute on January 10 from 4.30 p.m

This will be the first lecture folllowing an agreement between SLFI and ANCL to host one lecture each month to broaden the knowledge and understanding among the public on current affairs.

SLFI chairman Ranjith Bandara said the theme of the lecture was selected as there is a broad discussion on national security in the country.

"The Defence Secretary is the most appropriate individual to make such a disclosure," he said.

ANCL Chairman Bandula Padmakumara will also participate.
