Misty condition to prevail

The Meteorological Department yesterday said that the misty environment in many parts of the country during the morning, will prevail for another month.

According to Department's forecaster, mist is expected in many areas specially in the morning due to the high moisture content in the air.

There will be showers in the Eastern, North Central, Uva, Southern provinces and eastern slopes of the central hills in another two to three days, the Meteorology Department Duty Forecaster said. Thunder showers will also develop in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces during the afternoon or evening, he said. Sri Lanka is experiencing the North East monsoon and it will prevail until February or March, he said.
