Russian language A-L results soon

The Examinations Department will take a few days to issue the results
of the Russian language Advanced Level 2011 examination paper,
Examinations Department sources said.
The Russian language results of 28 students of Alawwa National
College and 10 students of Gurukula Vidyalaya, Kelaniya have to be
issued. The results have been withheld since the Examinations Department
is inquiring into similarities of answer scripts.
However, these students have faced many difficulties due to the
failure to issue the results. According to the students, the
Examinations Department has failed to give a proper answer for the
delay. Among these students there is a female student who has obtained
two A passes for two subjects while the results for the remaining
subject 'Russian language' is withheld.
Examinations Department sources said the Russian language result will
be released after the Experts' Committee report. President Mahinda
Rajapaksa appointed a four-member Experts' Committee to look into the
issues related to the result issuing process.
Meanwhile, the results of around 115 candidates have been withheld
owing to several issues, including examination malpractices. The
Examinations Department is inquiring into these matters candidates also,
Department sources said.
