Prabagaran takes a two stroke lead

Sri Lanka Open Golf Championship got off to a great start with the Sri Lankan Top Professionals who went on the Indian Tour in 2011 filling the first three places after round one.

K. Prabagaran from Nuwara Eliya Golf Club who turned Pro in 2010 carded a brilliant five under par 66 to hold a two stroke lead from Mithun Perera returned a three under par 68. Prabagaran reeled off a flurry of birdies for a five under 31 back nine. Defending Champion Anura Rohana got off to a solid start being three under par after eight holes but could not add any more birdies to his score.
