Displaying her abilities as a born-talented traditional artist
capable in re-producing our ancient masterpieces of wall, ceiling and
rock temple paintings, Anusha Dilanthi Athauda of Wegantale, Mawanella
has already established a unique record in the province of Sabaragamuwa.
In 2009 Anusha obtained a two-year experience in the field of folk
art at Antique Replica Institute, Paswala. She also possesses a special
degree of art in Heywood.
In 2005 and 2006 she won first places in two islandwide creative art
competitions.
In 2008, 2009, 2010 provincial 'silpa' art competitions she has won
first second and third places continuously in the fields of wall
paintings, batik work, textile painting etc.
Very recently she showed her ability as a painter of folk tales in a
different method at the Sabaragamuwa provincial arts and crafts
exhibition 2011.
