Wanigarachchi props up Isipathana

Isipathana College were 199 for 9 wickets against Lumbini Vidyalaya at the end of the first day in their Inter-Schools Division one match played at BRC Grounds yesterday. Isipathana won the toss and chose to bat. Harith Wanigarachchi top scored for Isipathana by scoring 64. Pawan Anjana also contributed with 38 while Deshan Jayakumar scored 34 runs.

Though Lumbini lost the toss, they were able to get nine wickets in the match. Damith Priyadarshana (four for 22) was the most impressive of the Lumbini bowlers. Tharinda Lakmal supported him by getting two for 30 while Ashan Irantha bagged two for 18.

The match will be resumed on December 24 at BRC Ground at 9.30 AM.
