Record paddy cultivation in Jaffna

Paddy cultivation in the Jaffna district has registered a record for the first time in the past 20 years. Paddy has been cultivated in 11,078 hectares.

This is in excess of of 1,572 hectares.

This year, paddy cultivation was undertaken at Thanangkillappu in 672 acres, Eluthumadduval in 268 acres, Maruthankerni, Champianpattu, Kaddaikaddu and Nithiyaveddai in 376 acres.
