Education Publications Dept outlets to be opened

The Education Publications Department will open outlets throughout the country, Education Publications Commissioner NMJ Pushpakumara said.

Speaking at the opening of an outlet at the Education Ministry yesterday, Pushpakumara said that examination past papers, extra reading material and many other reading material are available at the outlets.

The Publications Department has opened several outlets in Matara, Galle, Maradana and Jaffna. Outlets will also be opened in Anuradhapura, Kurunegala and Kandy. It has been scheduled to open more outlets in the other areas. "No second party is allowed to sell examination past papers. Under the Intellectual Property Act it is illegal to sell examination past papers to anyone by a second party.

Customers can obtain examination past papers from sales outlets at a reasonable rate, Minister Gunawardena said.
