Christmas - time to illumine hearts with love

At the end of another year we are back again to celebrate Christmas, the day when Jesus was born as an ordinary man and who led a simple life. He was a traveller; during his travels his motive was never to amass wealth but to educate the masses by instilling the purpose of life on earth mainly by cultivating tolerance, forbearance, love and compassion.

He was fully aware of the fact that ‘out of the heart of man surface evil thought of murder, adultery, fornication, wickedness, deceit, recklessness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. “All evil things come from within to defile man unless the heart is pure and the mind is cleansed’ (Mar 7:21-23)

December 25, 336 AD, was assigned to celebrate Christmas in the West partly to replace the pagan sun worshiping. Since the end of fourth century, Christmas Day became universally accepted and the 'jolly old man with white whiskers and the red sack' has been bringing joy to children at every Christmas.

Natural disasters

We are almost half way through the first quarter of the 21st century and this year people are sure to experience a different Christmas as the devil has taken over man’s mind to make him erratic and encourage man to kill his own kind without batting an eye lid - as easy as squashing mosquitoes. Perhaps it is prudent to think that even Santa Claus is certainly going to be a worried old man at his headquarters in the Lapland this Christmas.

Future forecasts for the world tend to vary, and to a greater extent fear-provoking as the man has descended below the animal level. Everything in this world is governed by birth and a death; certain seers have predicted the world too will come to an end at the end of the 21st century.

Natural disasters that man has created out of his ill will are already causing sub zero temperatures affecting the West and unbearable warm conditions in the tropics. During profound daily spiritual discourses by Sultan Ul Awliya Mowlana Sheikh Nazim Al Haqqani in Lefke, Cyprus (regarded as the last living saint of the Naqshbandi order (http://sheiknazim2.com) through www.saltanat.org, people all over the world are being warned of the imminent disasters in the coming months.

Mowlana who has met Pope Benedict XVI personally states openly on a worldwide video that “21st century is the last of this Universe. ‘Shaytan’ (Satan) has become very active at the present time that almost every human being is taken over ‘by this evil force', which seemingly is heading towards chaotic conditions which might end up with the World War III (in an attempt to defeat ‘Shaytan').

Generally the ego of people is so immense that they always tend to discard any precautionary advice or take it with a pinch of salt, till such time they are confronted with disaster. Two earthquakes predicted by Mowlana in Turkey last month in advance and his prophecy that 'Tyrants in all Arab countries are going to leave' is happening right in front of our eyes today.

Political eye

Looking at today’s world through a political eye, it is apparent that the Americans and Israelis are planning to light the torch of disaster with nuclear fire to show their supremacy and might. Iran, on their part, in no uncertain terms have warned Israel not to ‘play with fire’. The mist is thinning out in the horizon on war front whilst under false pretenses American war tanks are hovering the ocean around Syria and Russians tanks are queuing up in a similar fashion to support Syria in case of an American invasion. Will there be a sea of blood flowing from Syria all the way to Istanbul while millions perish?

Any attempts by Israel ‘to wipe out’ Iran’s nuclear bases’ will be countered and assisted by Chinese who are Iranian allies, which means all these will boil down to major powers in the world with their egotistical superiority clashing with each other. And this time, unlike in previous wars, there will hardly be any time to think if the nuclear arsenal is used by one party and reciprocated by the other, namely Israel and Iran respectively.

Should such a catastrophe occur (hope not!) the Third World War will be quite different with nuclear weapons replacing the traditional warfare. Are we going to witness what we saw in the film Armageddon quicker than expected? Will some parts of the world be turned into piles of ash? Will we see tower blocks collapsing like pack of cards, meteorites coming down and hitting everywhere and causing earth earthquakes and floods killing millions of people? It is also said that, ‘Oppressors in the world will be wiped out and those who are impregnated with celestial fire only will be saved from perishing’. This may sound abrasive or unsympathetic, even to think, but the reality is that will the spared remaining one third of the ‘holy’ sorts have the courage and the nerve to absorb what they would be seeing right in front of their eyes? - For instance people falling dead to the ground right in front of their eyes while walking on streets, or peoples’ skins getting stretched like elastic! Sounds like a horror film!!

This is Christmas time. Every year millions celebrate X'mas around the world, making X'mas one of the world’s biggest religious and commercial festivities. In such a backdrop irrespective of our religious and cultural differences, theories and beliefs, let us come together and decorate our hearts with love, compassion and human feeling for one another by which at least we, as human beings, might be able to ward off some of the worst impending disasters which are predicted to affect us in the near future.
