The English Premier League treasures within it a barricade of players
who are worthy of mention, who are chosen for International sides based
on their unique talent and football skills. Every team has its own
stars, its action-packed thrillers who add colour to the game.
Though these players depict glamorous football, they pose difficult
conditions for their opponents by displaying quality football, excellent
tackles and indescribable passes.
This section focuses on the best among the best of the English
Premier League.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION
Ben Foster
Ben Foster is a professional goalkeeper on loan from Birmingham City,
and is one of the best goalkeepers West Bromwich has ever had.
The Englishman was the goalkeeper for the England World Cup squad,
but was overlooked in 2010, as he prefers to 'prolong his football
career as long as possible', to avoid any unwanted injuries.
The experienced goalkeeper was born in Stoke, but was raised by
proficient football club Manchester United.
He was bought on loan by Watford Football Club, but moved back to
United in 2007. As the Red Devils already possessed a great keeper,
Foster had to leave Manchester. He then joined Birmingham City for three
years. However, Birmingham lent him to West Bromwich Albion where he is
now an incredible goalkeeper who has received a great reputation at the
club.
He has been trained by various clubs such as Bristol City, Stafford
Rangers, Racing Club Warwick, Stoke City and Manchester United.
Shane Long
Shane Long, a pure Irish footballer, is currently the striker for
Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. He is also among the best of
Ireland's National side, and formed their team when they qualified for
the UEFA Europa 2012. The lively young footballer has played with
Reading Football Club and Cork City previously.
He was signed up by West Bromwich Albion in 2011, and though he may
be a new player, he is one of the most sought-after players in the side.
He has signed his contract with the side for three more years, with one
year exceptional, which Manager Roy Hodgson will accept with no
hesitation! He is a striker for the side and is an amazing passer.
He is the usual goal-scorer of the side and scores superb goals,
mainly the winning goals.
BIRMINGHAM CITY
Boaz Myhill
On loan from West Bromwich Albion, a splendid goalkeeper packed with
a set of professional skills, the Irish goalkeeper is much more than a
normal keeper. The goalie is one among a million, and players like him
are truly rare, for his saves are indescribable, and his body movements
are very fast, enabling him to retrieve the ball in which ever direction
it travels.
The pro was first a goalkeeper from Aston Villa. He then worked with
many famous clubs such as Bristol City, Macclesfield Town, Sheffield
United and Stockport County. Once signing for 'Tigers' Hull City in
2003, he quickly became their first choice keeper and played a key part
in two back-to-back promotion seasons.
He was then signed up by Tottenham Hotspur, where he built himself a
reputation that has brought him this far. He is now Birmingham's
all-trustworthy goalkeeper due to his extremely wonderful goals and
massive services to the team.
David Murphy
David Murphy, an English first team player and a former Hibernian
footballer, joined Birmingham City back in 2008, to supply his great
football skills to the side. The 27-year old left back has also played
with Cardiff City alongside many giants of football. The number 3 has
been trained by reputed football clubs like Middlesbrough and Barnsley.
Murphy is loaded with plenty of football skills and possesses a strong
body when it comes to scoring long-distance as well as those from a
short distance. His unique abilities and precise scoring factors have
helped him achieve all that he wanted in the club. Manager Chris Hughton
has no plans of letting the player go, as every wrong act brings with it
its sorrows. |
