Kalabhushana awards ceremony today

The Kalabhushana State Awards Ceremony will be held under the patronage of Cultural and Arts Affairs Minister T B Ekanayake at the John de Silva Memorial Theatre today.

The Cultural Affairs Department has organized it's 27th Annual Kalabhushana State Awards Ceremony 2011 with the collaboration of the Hindu and Muslim Religious Departments. Around 256 artistes will receive awards. The organizers have selected artistes covering every district. It has enlisted 181 Sinhalese, 50 Tamils and 25 Muslims to the awards list.
