Asset Trust management launches ASTRUE

Asset Trust Management (Pvt) Ltd a market intermediary registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) launched its first ever mutual fund on Monday. The fund is named ASTRUE Gilt-Edged Fund and would be solely investing in Government Securities such as Treasury Bills, Bonds and Government backed Securities.

The Manager and Registrar to the fund is Asset Trust Management (Pvt) Ltd, whilst the Trustee and Custodian is Deutsche Bank AG, Colombo. ASTRUE Gilt-Edged Fund is managed by a dynamic investment management team with years of professional expertise in wealth management. The Funds would cater to investors seeking a secure solution for their investment needs, whilst benefiting from opportunities to derive sustainable above average returns.

Asset Trust management (Pvt) Ltd is licensed by the SEC to carry out personal fund management and unit trust operations. The Fund is open for subscription at an unit price of Rs 10 per unit. The initial subscription period of fund is from December 12 till December 22, 2011.
