Two nabbed for murder

Sampoor Police arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a teacher in Kattaparichchan area. Kurukulasingham Siriwardhani, 33, was murdered while she was travelling to school on November 24 by her motorbike.

The suspects have waited for her on a culvert and stopped Siriwardhani to ask something. One of them had hit her head using an axe, taken her to a jungle and robbed nine pounds of gold jewellery which she had worn. They have also hacked her face with a knife.

The accused are between 21-26 years old. The Sampoor Police are conducting investigations.
