Please help little Piyum
Seven year old H.A. Piyum Induwara of No. 149/86/4, Ambahenawatta,
Kaluwala Road, Ganemulla is a differently-abled child with visual
impairment and lame fingers and toes which are glued together.
Piyum's mother W.A. Dishani Hansika says following a report published
in the Daily News about the child's predicament a donor has come forward
to bear of a surgery to be performed in India to restore his vision soon
as a suitable cornea is received from a donor. Doctors at a private
hospital in Colombo have agreed to subject the child to a surgery to
separate his fingers and toes so that he can move his fingers and toes
as a normal child.
The surgery for this is estimated to cost Rs 350,000. Hansika says
she is unable to find this money on her own and requests the public to
assist her child's course by sending financial contributions to help
expedite the surgery. All contributions can be remitted to account
