Casons-Rent-a-Car invests Rs 83 million

Casons-Rent-a-Car with an investment of Rs 83 million will introduce
70 Suzuki Alto and Toyota Allion cars for customers. A special low
budget per km package which is the cheapest in the market also has been
introduced.
The company will recruit female drivers for the first time with the
introduction of a student package which is another step of expansion.
Thirty taxies are already on the road and the balance will be operated
from January. Casons-Rent-a-Car Managing Director Zakir Ahamed told
Daily News.
He said all the cars are branded in red and white.
Ahamed has observed a several emerging markets in this sector which
is the reason to go for this expansion. The next stage is introducing a
student package where the student customers will be given 10 percent
discount. “That will be strictly for students,” he said.
He said tourists coming from India are looking for budget packages
and some of them are coming to Sri Lanka three times a month and Casons
is ready to meet this demand.
“The company will soon enhance customer security through high
technology where the company could track cars and monitor the journey,”
Ahamed said. |
