Fish exports to top US $ 1 b by 2015

Production to increase with North, East harvesting:

Sri Lanka can reach a one billion dollar income from fish exports by 2015, INFOFISH Governing Council Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said. The value of exports has increased from US$ 103 million in 2005 to US$ 202 million in year 2010.

Better times for lubricants industry next year

The lubricant industry expects better performance next year as the growth momentum seen early this year did not continue towards the end. “We anticipate a double digit growth next year for the industry. It is growing at a slow pace of six to seven percent at present.

SriLankan to Kathmandu and Dhaka

SriLankan Airlines will add more capacity to key destinations in India, in the next few weeks. Flights to Chennai will increase to four frequencies a day, from December 23 bringing the city’s total frequencies to 28 a week.
