SEC conducts 'Investor Day' in Jaffna

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) in association with the Jaffna Branch of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) conducted "Investor Day - Jaffna 2011" on December 3 at the Veerasingam Hall, Jaffna from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Over 1,000 participants mostly potential investors participated at this event. Seventeen Stock broker and Unit Trust Management companies participated at the Investor Day and assisted potential investors to open CDS accounts to transact in shares as well as provided guidance on investing in the Capital Market. Investor Day - Jaffna 2011 was the eighth local road show conducted by the SEC in 2011. Earlier the SEC conducted road shows in Galle, Kandy, Kurunegala, Negombo, Ampara, Colombo and Matara.
