The HTC has been designed to reflect sentiments of eras past as well
as to respect the modern constraints of contemporary style. The HTC has
a threefold concept, which encompasses being firstly a Tea Salon, a
Dessert Bar and a Boutique. The objective is to provide customers with
the ultimate consumer experience; to simultaneously indulge and inspire.
HVA Foods Chairman Rohan Fernando said, "There is something special
about deciding to go out and enjoy a good cup of tea in a relaxed space
and feel like the ambiance has been carefully molded to cater to your
own expectations. HTC hopes to be a venue that people feel comfortable
in and will want to bring their friends and colleagues to share their
experience with."
Historically, tea orientated spaces have been more prevalent in most
towns compared to coffee houses. However, in the recent past coffee has
taken over as the frontrunner for being a more commercial beverage with
countless franchises opening around the world. Despite this, tea has not
lost its place as a favoured beverage amongst its loyal following.
"HTC also wishes to reintroduce the beauty of certain tea drinking
rituals of the past that make the experience of its consumption and the
feelings that it incites, with the public. We live in an age where
health awareness is a major priority. Tea has many well-known healing
properties, in addition to health benefits and it is important to HTC to
promote good living and generate awareness around these factors," he
said. |
