Indian ANPG builds US $ 30 m apartment complex

Atlantis - a subsidiary of the ANPG Group India will invest US $ 30 million to construct a twenty-two story apartment tower at Parliament Road Rajagiriya redefining the skyline in the area.

Director of the ANPG Group, Rohan Parikh, speaking to Daily News Business said that piling has been completed and construction would be ready by end of 2014. He said that they have a very positive response from both Sri Lankans and Indian expatriates for the project. “We hope to sell the entire complex in less than three years,” he added.

The 380,000 square-foot complex covers an area of 6,000 sq meters and includes two exclusive Club Levels that will offer residents fitness, recreational and social amenities. It would offer 188 apartments in 22 floors.

The Club Levels span across two floors and the terrace with facilities such as a gymnasium, swimming pool, spa, resto-loungue, creche, entertainment centre, squash court and tennis court. Each apartment complex is equipped with top of the line modern amenities; including a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, tiled or granite flooring, electrical fittings, air-conditioners and much more.

The apartments are constructed with a lot of attention to detail, comfort and a singular approach to modern design. The apartment’s high-end finishes are only found in luxury condominiums. “The architecture is being coordinated by both Indian and Sri Lankans,” he said. Sankan Lanka is the contractor for the project.

“This is a spectacular project that re-envisions apartment living for the 21st century and serves as a model for balanced residential communities in Colombo,” he said. He said that they will be looking at a management company later.

The ANPG group is a 60-year-old diversified group with a large range of operations in India. It has a history in Sri Lanka having executed projects since the 1980’s. Some of the significant achievements in Sri Lanka include logistical support for the transportation of engines for the Sapugaskanda Power Project, completion of transport for the Kelanitissa Power Project by developing a specialized ramp to bypass weak bridges en-route, Horana Power Project for ACE Power and the Embilipitiya Power Project.
