No take over of profit-making private sector ventures - Governor

Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal said that the government has no intention of taking over private sector ventures that are making profits. He said that the Act was introduced to take over ailing ventures and turn them around. “We want to use their unutilized assets,” he said.

He added that Sri Lanka is ranked 89th in the Global Doing Business ranking from the 102nd position and the government wants to better this.
