Stars in action
SAMAHA ISMATH ALI
The English Premier League treasures within it a barricade of
talented and players who are worthy of mention, those who are chosen for
International sides based on their unique talent and football skills.
Every team has its own stars, its action-packed thrillers who add colour
to the game. Though these players depict glamorous football, they pose
difficult conditions for their opponents, by displaying quality
football, excellent tackles and indescribable passes. This section
focuses on the best among the best of the Barclays English Premier
League.
MANCHESTER CITY
Carlos Tevez
When selecting a new player for his side back in 2009, Manager
Roberto Mancini had made a wise choice-former Manchester United striker
Carlos Tevez. The Argentine footballer possesses much more than just his
football skills; he is a dynamic footballer who puts the sport before
anything else. His energy and goal scoring rate has since made him an
indispensable player for the club in the eyes of fellow players, and has
secured himself a top place in his fans' hearts. He was the second ever
player to be transferred from rival club Manchester United, the first
being Terry Cooke in 1999. Carlos Tevez has been sought-after for his
incredibly fast goals and his invaluable passes. These factors brought
him to City and he is now the mid-fielder of the current leaders of the
Premier League table. This season, however, Tevez got himself wounded up
in a disciplinary hearing after he refused to come out into the field as
a substitute at City's game against Bayern Munich. Though these
happenings have shattered the Barclays Premier League, Manager Mancini
still believes the Argentine will return to the team, his spirits higher
than ever!
Sergio Aguero
An Argentine International Star, complete with a unique set of
football skills. Purchased from Atletico Madrid in July 2011 for a sum
of £35m, the Argentine has mingled himself very well into the heated
Premier League surroundings. He has secured himself a soft spot in
Manger Roberto Mancini's heart.
Aguero is a diminutive figure with a stocky build, which has led to
comparisons with fellow Manchester City striker, Carlos Tevez. Some
pundits go as far to say Aguero is Tevez's heir apparent at City and is
superior to Tevez.
This has proved to be somewhat true after Sergio was compared to
Tevez, and the former was significantly better than the latter.
This has made him extremely popular in the City of Manchester,
already owing to the fact that he has extended his contract till 2015,
creating a deep impact for 'The Citizens'. This year, the trophy lies on
his shoulders as the entire team looks up to him as a remarkable
footballer and friend, and the prayers on everyone's lips are that he
helps them accomplish this task and bring home the trophy.
NEWCASTLE UNITED
Yohan Cabaye
Yohan Cabaye is a French footballer who plays for English club
Newcastle United and the French national team. He plays as a box-to-box
midfielder and is described as a player who possesses excellent vision,
great ball control and provides technical quality". Cabaye is also
well-known for his penalty-taking ability, and the side is grateful for
buying the player, as he has brought them many victories, thanks to his
quality football skills. All the fans of Newcastle were doubtful as they
saw the former Lille player sign his contract, but now they credit their
victories to him, as he has led them to a fourth position on the English
Premier League table.
He has represented his home country France in many tournaments, and
has been praised for his talents. This season, Cabaye has entered
Newcastle to display the skills of the dominating Black-and-White side.
Cheik Tiote
Cheik Tiote is an Ivorian footballer, who has been termed as a player
whom Newcastle cannot do without. He currently plays as the defensive
midfielder for St.James Park, and has formed a part of the team's first
eleven.
He is a determined and resilient footballer who was brought into
Newcastle's books in 2011. He has signed a six-and-a-half year contract
with the club, and will remain hopefully faithful till 2017, hopes
Manager Alan Pardew. The club is indebted to the many services of Tiote,
who has displayed his playing in such a way that no one has ever
regretted the lad for joining the 'Magpies'.
However, unfortunately, Tiote was not available for last week's game
against Everton, and this disappointed Newcastle fans greatly, who
missed watching the nimble boy at his game.
Tiote has also said that he is happy at Newcastle; happier than he
was anywhere else, and this has made Manager Pardew beam at the
midfielder's interest, hoping from the bottom of his heart that this
will go on till the very end! |
