Recipe book on Rajarata dishes

"The Sri Lanka Tourism and Hotel Management Institute (SLTHMI),
Anuradhapura branch, will publish a book of recipes showcasing popular
food items, dishes that the Rajarata is famous for. The recipe book will
be launched to coincide with the Deyata Kirula national development
programme which is to be held in Anuradhapura next year, said SLTHMI
Director General and Chief Executive officer Dr D A C Suranga Silva. He
said the Rajarata is famous for a variety of food items and SLTHMI aims
to promote and preserve them through the publication of this book.
"The book will be published with the support of people who have a
wide knowledge about dishes which originate in the Rajarata, he said.
Silva said the public are welcome to send their recipes to Sri Lanka
Tourism and Hotel Management Institute, Sri Maha Bodhi Mawatha,
Anuradhapura.
In addition to that the SLTHMI is to hold a competition among
Rajarata schools' to create a cover and for a suitable name for this
recipe book. Students who wish to participate in this competition should
give the information through their school principal, the Director
General said.
A committee had been appointed to collect all information regarding
the publication of this book which is to be launched at the opening
ceremony of the "Dayata Kirula" exhibition. The public can send in
