ISMM fetes past Presidents

The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM) recognized the service rendered by its past leaders V. Ganesh, Duncan Dissanayake and Chandima Jayatileka by unveiling their photographs at the OPA Auditorium on September 23.

ISMM President Danesha Perera said the ISMM is pleased to welcome all to pay our heartiest gratitude to the great leaders of ISMM during the past decade.

He showed the importance of having right leaders for the developments of the institution. The leadership given by its past Presidents has taken ISMM to where it is today.

ISMM President said one should be proud to be in one of the professional Institutions that understands the values and recognize the contributions made by great leaders.

“As you know the great leaders are seen beyond doubt and they lead teams with SUCCESS and Glory. He elaborated they do not work hard but they work smart. They do not get disturbed but instead they get motivated. They lead in front and not from behind. They can say yes as well as no. He concluded the speech by wishing all the very best to three past Presidents in their future endevaours,” he said.

V. Ganesh was the President from 2001 to 2004.

Air Vice Marshal Duncan Dissanayake was the President of ISMM from 2004 to 2007. Chandima Jayathileka was the ISMM President from 2007 to 2010.

All three past President’s photographs were unveiled by the chief guest Uditha Palihakkara OPA President on the request of current ISMM President Danesha Perera.While delivering the vote of thanks Hon. Gen. Secretary of ISMM Nalin Silva thanked the President for leading the team in the right direction. Further he complemented the hard work done by Seminars and Functions Committee of ISMM for organising the long due event.
