'Freedom Speaks' reveals unspoken ground reality of Sri Lanka's war is an investigative documentary movie based on true ground witness accounts of the war. The film which was directed by Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa and edited by Jeevan Chandimal reveals untold harrowing experiences of terrorism endured by those innocent Tamil people whose lives were ripped apart for three decades.

Senior Attorney Gomin Dayasiri delivering the keynote address stated that the documentary brings out life under the LTTE rule, the largest rescue operation conducted by the Sri Lankan security forces, ever known to the mankind, the resettlement drive etc.

He also stated that the remarkable fact in the documentary was that every source in the documentary is identified and authenticated to lend credibility to their stories. "The documentary sends a message loud and clear to the targeted Western audiences", he said.

The director of the documentary delivering the introductory speech said that "Freedom Speaks" is for the ignorant world that unknowingly supported terrorism in Sri Lanka. He added that it is against malicious lies spread around the world about our country by vicious individuals and organizations wanting us back in war.

The 40 minute documentary was screened in the presence of a distinguished gathering which included Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Roshan Gunathilake, Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya and Air Force Commander Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, foreign dignitaries, media personnel and NGO representatives.
