Dalpethado passes away

Oscar Dalpethado a well known Josephian cricketer is no more. He represented the Darley Road school from 1947 to 1949 and is the younger brother of late Fairlie Dalpethado, the All Ceylon allrounder who predeceased him two years back.

Oscar was one time the chairman of the Urban Council and a highly respected Lawyer in Chilaw.He was 81 at the time of his death.

He leaves his wife Lorna and two children Sonali and Oscar (Jr).His funeral took place yesterday in Chilaw. May his Soul rest in peace!
