Bhikkhuni and Dasasilmatha training programme

The Buddhist Cultural Center in Nedimala, Dehiwala has organized a three year Bhikkuni and Dasasilmatha training programme to mark the 2600th Sambuddhathva Jayanthi, at the Dhamma Training Centre in Horana, Kahatapitiya, Dekanduwala, said Buddhist Cultural Center director Ven Kirama Wimalajothi Thera.

Under this programme, the Buddhist Cultural Center has prepared a syllabus including subjects such as the Thripitaka, Pali, Sanskrit, English, Buddhist Counseling and other areas relevant to the lives of Bhikkhunis, the Thera said.

Bhikkunies and Dasasilmathas in the 15-40 age group can apply for these training courses with the approval of the chief incumbents of their aramayas.

Members of the clergy and laymen who have a good knowledge of the Dhamma, can apply for enrolement as teachers.
